Pagi ini cuaca cukup cerah, lumayan lah hal ini juga membuatku lebih cerah setelah kemarin terkapar dirumah dan harus absen ngantor. Huufff, pagi-pagi belum sarapan makanan malah dihadapkan dengan masalah, pagi ini didapati backup mail server mengalami kegagalan servis, dan error log yg saya dapat seperti ini " Jul 22 02:12:00  mail2 postfix/postqueue[18052]: fatal: Queue report unavailable - mail system is down

Padahal sebelumnya  server running well. Ini dia list dari penggunaan port 25 checked with netstat

Usut punya usut ternyata kemarin ada beberapa installasi package di CentOS yang menyebabkan aplikasi exim terinstall, exim merupakan aplikasi MTA layaknya postfix, qmail, sendmail dll. Tanpa diketahui [tidak dicek] exim running dengan sendirinya setelah mail server ini reboot. Karena terdapat 2 aplikasi menggunakan port yang sama [zimbra mta dan exim] maka zimbralah yang mengalami masalah.

 

Untuk tahapan penyelesaiannya sendiri cukup mudah, rentetan step yang saya jalankan adalah melihat zimbra.log, dan ketika dari sini saya mendapati bahwa postfix pada zimbra dalam keadaan mati [down, stoped, broken]. Dari sini langkah selanjutnya adalah memeriksa apakah terdapat port yang conflight, melihat yang bermasalah adalah mta dan port yang digunakan adalah port 25 maka  saya temukan port 25 already listen [lah, padahal zimbra mta kan mati??] dari sini dapat diketahui bahwa ada aplikasi lain yang menggunakan port 25.

 

Ternyata setelah di check akhirnya ditemukannya bahwa port digunakan oleh exim [tanpa sengaja terinstall] pada saat dilakukan update beberapa waktu lalu. Dan kenapa beberapa hari lalu tidak mengalami masalah? service exim baru running setelah server saya restart hari ini.

 

Semoga menjadi perhatian bagi kita semua agar lebih teliti....
